I'ts now 3 weeks since that eventful day and whilst I'm now fully recovered, those little apendages on my feet will never be the same. It's a good thing I'm not overly vain isn't it? I've slowed down somewhat but am still running a couple of times a week. I don't want all the fitness acquired over the past few months to go to waste!  Looking back, I'm still pretty happy with my finishing time of 5.16.07. though of course I'd love to have managed to run ALL THE WAY.  Getting to 19 miles without stopping however was an achievement, as I'd only managed to get to 18 miles in training. All in all, I can feel fairly happy with my time especially as I'd set my own target of 5.30 and I was well inside that! 

Sponsorship has gone brilliantly, in fact it's gone so well, I've adjusted my target several times already. I'm so grateful for all the help friends have given me especially Maggie who has been an absolute diamond.  She's done a fine job on the Northants Table Tennis website and did wonders in passing around the hat at the Town Tournament on Saturday (12th April).  I reckon she'd make a great beggar!!!  I'd also like to post my special thanks to husband Trevor for his understanding when I've left him to do the Sunday shop (he loves shopping however so it wasn't too much of a hardship) and friend Barbara who formed part of my fan club on the day. Thanks Barbara and thanks especially for getting me home safely.
