Story
Butler House has chosen to support as their House charity for the current academic year African Prisons Project. This is a very inspiring charity founded by Alexander McClean, a twenty-nine year old Londoner. The charity seeks to provide material, legal and educational support in several African countries for the most neglected and vulnerable prisoners. Alexander gave a very inspiring interview about how he came to fond the charity in the last issue of Worth School's Identity, one of our school magazines.
At the start of this term the Butler students held a twelve hour football marathon to raise money for the charity. On Tuesday, June 16, Fr Martin and I are undertaking a cycle ride to Chichester, via Brighton, to raise further funds. We have set a target of £1000 and if we could get anywhere near that for this worthy cause, we would be most grateful. This may seem a tall order but we are relying on you and the prayers of St Richard of Chichester whose feast day falls on June 16th! Fr Martin is in training and also praying that is knees will not let him down!
Any donation, however small, will be gratefully received.
