Starting in September 2013, I'm doing a gap year with charity BMS World Mission, commencing with a month's training at their International Mission Centre, Birmingham. Then in October. I'll be heading off to Matera, Italy for 6 months on a BMS Action Team with two other people. I will be placed with longterm BMS Partners in Italy, helping their community through youth and children's work, working with the elderly and teaching English. Finally, from April-June, I'll be touring the UK with my team, heading into churches, schools, college's and communities to share my experience and the work of BMS. The money donated through JustGiving is going to directly to BMS World Mission. This money will count towards the £4350 that I have to raise as a contribution towards the total cost of the programme, and towards the additional personal costs I need to raise (transport to and from airport/training, equipment etc.) so I have set the total at £5350. I know it sounds like a lot, but I'm sure it will be a really rewarding, life-changing experience.
