At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Give £5 and Pass Around our Virtual Bucket Collection #Fillthebucket

Five-year-old Zofeya was diagnosed with a brain tumour in July 2013. Since then, our social worker Rachel has been there for Zofeya’s family, providing practical, emotional and financial support throughout her treatment.

Every month, thousands of families deal with the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment. Stand with families like Zofeya’s whose lives have been turned upside down.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is held across the UK and in other countries around the world during September. It is a chance to raise awareness of the impact of childhood cancer, and of CLIC Sargent’s work supporting young cancer patients and their families.

Spread awareness and raise vital funds in Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with our 'give £5 and pass around' virtual bucket collection.

Remember to share or re-tweet after your have donated, the more people who see our virtual collection the more vital funds we will raise.

The potential impact of you giving £5 and passing around our virtual bucket collection is incredible, if we reach...

£200 we could pay for a CLIC Sargent grant. Cancer can have a huge effect on a family’s finances and a CLIC Sargent grant is offered to children and young people with cancer, and their families, as soon as they come into contact with us to help meet the sudden extra costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring.

£600 we could pay for a CLIC Sargent play specialist for a week. Play specialists help a child to understand what is happening to them through stories and play.

£1000 we could pay for a family to stay for a month in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home, keeping them together at a very difficult time.

£2,500 we could pay for 14 young cancer patients to take part in a residential weekend at Malcolm Sargent House, CLIC Sargent’s holiday home in Ayrshire, where young people can meet others with similar experiences, helping them to feel less isolated.

£10,000 we could pay and support a CLIC Sargent social worker for 3 months.
