As you read this, tonight, more than 6,000 families in Florida are facing homelessness and without a shelter over their heads or enough food to feed their children. Please JOIN ME in supporting Dawning Family Services fundraising event, Dusk ‘Til Dawn as I spend the evening of March 31^st without shelter over my head and joining hundreds of supporters as we SLEEP OUT IN SOLIDARITY to create awareness and raise funds to provide safe and secure housing and supportive services for families in crisis.

Many of you are aware of my support of Dawning Family Services (DFS), a non-profit organization in the Tampa Bay area committed to providing critical support and services for children and their families who are facing homelessness.  DFS, previously Alpha House of  Tampa, has served our community for over 41 years, providing housing and services to families with children who are touched by homelessness. The NEED is great - in the last 2 years, homelessness in Hillsborough County has risen over 20%. 

As a Board Member and more importantly, as a strong advocate of this fantastic organization, I ask for your support of our annual fundraiser. I believe every child deserves a safe place to sleep, a place to call home and hope for a bright future. I know you do too - your donations will help DFS provide emergency housing/shelter, assistance with permanent housing, prevention services for families at risk of losing their home and provide career services.
