In May 2021 after a very quick fight against cancer my Nan sadly passed away. To loose her soo quickly especially during a pandemic where we couldn’t see each other was extremely hard on all of our family. My Nan spent many of years volunteering and raising money for loads of charities and causes that meant a lot to her over her years and as we we approach one year since she passed me and my sister wanted to do something we could do to give back in her memory.

Having visited my Nan who lived in wales for many years Mount Snowdon was always a picturesque background to many journeys around North Wales and something I’ve always wanted to climb- so myself, Joe and Danni are tackling the climb this August! 

One of the charities we have chosen to raise money for is the Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Ospreys and Wildlife. Nan was a huge fan of watching the Ospreys come to nest at the Osprey centre for many years and provided comfort to her during her time of illness. 

The second charity we have chosen to raise money for is the Royal Voluntary Service team at the YnysMon and Gwynedd Hub. This was a team that Nan volunteered with for 12 years at Ysbyty Alltwen and her time spent working with RVS meant so much to her.
