Our aim is to help patients and staff by purchasing equipment, funding research and improving the hospital's environment. We've pledged to raise money to build a new Brachytherapy Treatment Unit. This will keep the Centre at the leading edge of world-class cancer and haematological treatments.

Story

A big thank you from Oliver, Kevin, Steven and Toby for visiting our page, and taking the first step towards improving the lives of people with cancer.

What is "Climb Against Cancer '09"? Its 800 miles of cycling in 8 days (12th-19th September), from Bristol to the south of France, 48,000 feet of climbing, finishing with the mother of all mountains, Alpe D'Huez - trust us, its big...

Why are we doing this? To raise money for the Friends of Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, who rely entirely on donations to support their work.

Feel tired just thinking about this? How do you think we feel?!? So make it worth our while and support us on our journey. Please sponsor us - whatever you can give us will make a huge difference.

The people involved in this project have all been affected by cancer - collectively we have lost a much-loved father, grandparents, aunts and uncles - one of our wives is currently fighting the illness. This is just how cancer has affected us but doubtless you will have similar experiences of your own.

Thank you, thank you, a thousand times times thank you!!!

If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
