Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm Charlie.  I am 8 years old and I go to Cubs.

As part of my Cubs Caring Challenge Badge, I chose to organise a fundraising event for a charity of my choice.

I have chosen the Neuroblastoma Society so I can raise money in memory of my big brother who died when I was only 3.  I love my brother very much and I really miss him.  I want to raise this money to help find a cure so no-one else has to loose their brothers or sisters like I have.

Jack was only just 5 when he lost his brave battle against this aggressive childhood cancer.  You can read his story on his website http://jack-ford.memory-of.com/

To raise this money, I have chosen to climb a mountain in Wales.  The Rhinog Mountains in Snowdonia have a reputation for being rugged and rocky, which is why they see fewer climbers compared with the better known peaks in Snowdonia.  The out and back climb will take me around 3 hours, it may be a little boggy at times and the climb is 170metres, covering a distance of 4.5 miles or 7.3km.

Please sponser my trek and help me raise funds for the Neuroblastoma Society in Jack's memory and help me achieve my Cubs Caring Challenge Badge.

A LITTLE MESSAGE

We were going to Wales on January 19th but unfortunately the trip has had to be postponed.  My little sister has dislocated hips and will be going to hospital.  I am still doing my climb, but not for a month or so.  As soon as we can, we will inform you of the new date. At least it gives me more time to raise more money!

Thanks everyone!
