Story

Story

A strong willed, determined and loving little girl, Mia loves nothing more than playing and interacting with others. But shortly after her Mum, Kirsty, found a lump in her tummy, she was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma. Four years old at the time, Mia started an aggressive regime of treatment including intensive chemotherapy, surgery, a stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and most recently, immunotherapy.

When Mia finishes immunotherapy, this will mark the end of her frontline treatment in the UK. Because rates of relapse for neuroblastoma are high and relapsed neuroblastoma has low survival rates, Mia’s family would like for her to access a clinical trial as additional cancer therapy in the hope that it will help prevent a dangerous relapse.

Because clinical trials overseas are not NHS funded, they can cost thousands of pounds, which is why Mia’s family have started to fundraise with Solving Kids’ Cancer. Supporting Mia’s fundraising campaign means that you’ll be helping to ensure that Mia can access all the treatment options available to her, no matter where they exist in the world, to help her beat cancer.

The Fitness Locker Team & Members are looking to raise as much money as possible to help Mia out along with awesome effort going in from everyone in the community.
