Recently a family friend  of my age (young!) developed rapid onset Alzheimer’s - This poor woman has suffered so many indignities since being sectioned and admitted to a care home in another county.If only she were in Oxford and able to receive the sort of enlightened, compassionate care that is the core of Vale House. Her family feel helpless since she was sectioned and are dismayed at the lack of privacy and respect that she is given.Since I signed up to Strictly I have heard so many good things about Vale House. Local people are very proud of the work that Vale House does, it really is a shining light for alzheimer sufferers and we are lucky that it is here-but only because it paid for independently by fundraisers.If only all care was this good.
