Story
From the 18-20th March Clive Wooster and Damien Weight will be taking on a new challenge to help people living with a brain tumour.
Taking on the mammoth 50 miles that make up the Isle of Wight's Tennyson, Shepherd's and Bembridge trails, plus the North to South link from Cowes, Clive and Damien will have their stamina AND map reading skills put to the test.
Of the walk, the pair say 'It is often tackled in small segments, but we don't believe the whole lot has been done before. We know that it's a challenge, but nothing compared to the fear, isolation and confusion that people with a brain tumour face every day. Hopefully we can encourage others to 'do something big for brain tumours' and join us as we follow the Seagulls'.
In previous years Clive and Damien have followed the well trodden coastal path around the Island, but this year's challenge brings with it new hurdles. Damien says, 'We're raising the bar, taking on more miles each day, and also throwing some level 10 map reading into the mix. It won't be as simple as keeping the sea on the right as we did with the coastal path. So wish us luck!'
