We operate an independent lifeboat based at St Abbs. We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Ready to launch in minutes we ensure that the fishermen, divers, anglers, walkers, surfers, kayakers, sailors & birdwatchers along our coast have the best chance in the event of an accident.

Story

Beloved Father and Husband, Professor Clive Alan Greated, sadly passed away on Sunday 25th March 2018, in the late stages of colon cancer.

Dad (Clive) influenced many of us with his variety of loves and talents including music, waves of all kinds, learning, teaching, researching and the outdoors. One of the places and communities closest to his heart was St Abbs on the east coast of Scotland, where he spent many hours doing DIY, gardening, body boarding and having picnics on the beach.

On behalf of my husband / our dad, we are hoping the money usually spent on kind ‘condolence gifts’ and flowers will instead be donated towards the St Abbs Lifeboat to help continue this life-saving facility that forms such an important part of the St Abbs community. We know this would have meant a great deal to him.

You can read more about St Abbs lifeboat here: http://www.stabbslifeboat.org.uk/

We will collect the proceeds and present to St Abbs Lifeboat this summer on behalf of my husband / our Dad (Clive).

Much love and thanks,

Yrsa, Alicia and Marianne xxx
