Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Edinburgh marathon on 25 May to raise funds for Dundee Association for Mental Health (DAMH).  DAMH provides facilities within the community for those suffering from or recovering from the effects of mental ill health.

1 in 4 people will suffer a mental health problem in the course of a year with anxiety and depression being the most common form.  Self harm statistics in the UK are amongst the highest across Europe while suicide rates in males remain tragically high.

As well as raising money for DAMH I hope my efforts can help to raise awareness of the unfortunate stigma still attached to mental health issues as well as help make people aware of the help that is currently available

I'm following a strict 18 week training programme, having recently completed the Inverurie half marathon, and I'm determined to reach my target of £1000.

Everyone has a close friend or family member who has at some point been affected with mental health issues therefore I would be extremely grateful for any support - however big or small - that you could provide.

Many thanks,

Craig
