Story
“For every mountain, there is a miracle.” — Robert H. Schuller
In June of 2022, a group of enthusiastic individuals in partnership with CLSL Clothing will take on the challenge of climbing the four highest peaks in each of Irelands four provinces. The challenge will take place over three days and will raise funds to support the work of the Irish Cancer Society.
The goal of CLSL 4 Peaks Challenge is to raise a minimum €25,000 that will help fund and support the work of the Irish Cancer Society. Walkers will be asked to raise €1,000 through sponsorship and mini events such as quiz nights etc.
Every 3 minutes in Ireland someone gets a cancer diagnosis. Every hour someone dies from cancer. The Irish Cancer Society offers vital support through their network of cancer care outlets throughout Ireland providing a helping hand and a friendly face at every stage for cancer patients and their families.
Many of us that will be completing the 4 peaks have had family members, friends, acquaintances and colleagues receive the awful news which is the main reason for this event. This is a journey of hope and support and remembering the loved ones we have lost; continuous medical advances means that many cancer sufferers can now look forward to much more positive outcomes and go on to lead full lives. A diagnosis of cancer is something none of us ever want to have to hear.
This will also be a journey to remember those who have lost their battle against cancer. The group will carry ribbons to the top of every mountain to represent those who are no longer with us. If you would like to sponsor a CLSL 4 Peaks Challenge walker for their efforts or sponsor a remembrance ribbon for a friend or loved one you can do so by using either of the options below.
