In memory of Lloyd Pinder

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

In 2016, our friend & colleague Lloyd Pinder was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.

Rather than letting this news get him down, Lloyd spent 4 brave years living his life to the full and dedicating himself to raising funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK, to help work towards a world where no more men had to suffer through what he went through, before sadly losing his battle with cancer in September 2020.

Through this tireless effort, Club Insure (Lloyd's company) signed a long-term partnership with Prostate Cancer UK, committing a percentage of profits to the charity, as well as a determination to keep Lloyd's memory alive and continue his work of making people aware of this tragic disease.

The Club Insure Coast 2 Coast is a challenge event seeing 9 members of the Club Insure team pull on their jerseys, and hit the tarmac. Covering over 170 miles in two days, the team will start at Morecambe on Friday 24th September, and finish in Bridlington on Saturday 25th September.

Along the route, the team will be stopping at sports, social & working men's clubs, meeting our clients, friends and Prostate Cancer UK representatives, to help share Lloyd's story, and that of the charity.

We've already committed to donate £25,000 a year to Prostate Cancer UK to support their invaluable work, but we wanted to do more.

So help us reach our target of £10,000 now, by donating and sharing this momentus challenge, and stay up to date with progress on social media using #ClubInsureC2C
