The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by MSA; a life-limiting neurodegenerative brain disease. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take on the challenge of the Breca www.brecaswimrun.com/breca-buttermere , a 44km race involving 9 runs (38km) and 8 Swims (6km) and a total of 2000m of climbing, in the lake district on July 2nd this year. My colleague Jamie and I are taking part as a team and if all goes well we should complete the event in around 8hrs.  This will undoubtedly be the toughest physical challenge I have ever taken on,  and I am doing this to raise money for the Multiple Systems Atrophy Trust www.msatrust.org.uk .

Multiple Systems Atrophy is a rare condition that caused my father death in 2000. MSA is a degenerative neurological disease which currently has no cure or effective treatment. The Trust works with sufferers and their families to help with this destructive condition. The trust also raises money into research to hopefully one day find a cure.
