Coaches for World Mental Health · 19 September 2020 ·

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

10th October is World Mental Health Day!

60% of adults and 68% of young people have said their mental health has gotten worse during lockdown (Mind survey)

With the world being so uncertain right now, it's vital that we talk about mental health, check up on those around us, and, most importantly, check in with ourselves about how we are doing.

That’s why I am a part of a group of coaches who have come together to offer our listening ears, support, patience, and empathy. Throughout the month of October, I will be offering donations-based transformational coaching sessions.

Transformational coaching is a powerful and reflective tool used to explore a client's worldview, in order to understand what is holding them back from living the life they want.

Basically, it's like therapy, but more future-facing.

Why am I doing this?

  • To raise awareness about what coaching is.
  • To give people who can't afford coaching right now the access to it.
  • To give back after having just received my Accredited Diploma in Transformational Coaching.

If you've ever been curious about coaching and have wanted to try it, if you need someone to talk to in a confidential and non-judgmental space, if you know anyone else who would benefit from coaching - make a donation and contact me at mlphan@gmail.com to set up a session. Alternatively, you can check out the other coaches in our team by going to the Coaches for World Mental Health Day link at the top of this page.

Use this session however you like - for example, to talk through a current challenge or a sense of feeling lost or overwhelmed, to put some action steps together to work towards a goal, or to reflect on your experience of lockdown.

Please donate what you can so that Mind can keep spreading awareness about the importance of looking after and talking about our mental health and supporting those in need.

Feel free to share far and wide - we’d love to support as many people as possible!

Warmest wishes,

-Linh
