Barchester’s Charitable Foundation is a registered charity that helps older people as well as working age adults with a learning or physical disability or mental health issue across England, Scotland & Wales. Our focus is about connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community. We give grants to help reduce isolation and loneliness, promote group activities and generally improve people’s mobility and quality of life. We aim to give grants that will help people lead more fulfilled lives and reach their full potential.

Story

A drunken commitment by Bill Wilson almost a year ago will result in him cycling 874 miles in 9 days from the South coast of England, starting at Marriott House Care Home in Chichester and finishing at Pentland View Care Home in Thurso, North coast of Scotland!  He will be making visits to 22 Barchester Healthcare Care Homes along the way ……. Yes, he is completely off his rocker, but determined to succeed and it’s all in the name of charity!

He will be riding for 3 charities: Barchester Healthcare Foundation www.bhcfoundation.org.uk, St Wilfrid’s Hospice www.stwh.co.uk and the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice www.phyllistuckwellhospice.org.uk.
