Story
George Ellis
George Ellis Joined the RAF in 2017 attesting on the 1st of March. Following graduation from basic training where he was awarded the Mayor of Aylesbury trophy for the best overall performance in all aspects of training. He was then posted to MOD St Athan where he successfully completed his 18 month trade training. Achieving the Commanding Officer award for the best overall student and an award of distinction for the highest average mark on his intake of 91%. His athletic ability was also not unnoticed directing him to win the Physical Education (PEd) award. He was then posted to General Engineering Flight at RAF Leeming where he finished his Level 3 NVQ achieving the rank of SAC(T).
SAC(T) George Ellis, or as we knew him 'Ellis', was involved in a motorcycle accident in late July 2020, after a week of fighting for his life on an ICU, he tragically passed away on the 31st of July 2020.
Ellis was a positive, funny and thoughtful person with so many other qualities. All of which would shine through with anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Ellis was the type of character who made time for anyone regardless of what he had going on in his own life. Showing his charitable nature not only through his athletic achievements but with how he treated people on a day to day basis.
His passing has left a hole in so many hearts that will never truly heal. But from that we can all stand together with a feeling of comradery and unite in this pain knowing of the love we have for Ellis. We are lucky to have had him bless our lives and he will be forever missed.
