Story
Hello all, it's that time of year again, when I'm strating to fundraise and train for The Great North Run. Last year we were absolutely overwhelmed by how much sponsors came in for the NeoNatal Unit that looked after our Baby Jack. Thank-you all so much from the bottom of our hearts. x
This year we have chosen to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, their aim is to beat blood cancer!! As you all know on 15th February 2013, our Cobie, aged 6, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). A cancer of the blood. AML is an acute leukaemia meaning that it is more aggressive and progresses quickly. He began chemo straight away and we began as a family our new life of living with Cancer.
Cobie's consultant is the most clever man we know, knowing how to diagnose, and treat such an awful disease. Not only that but how to look after Cobie through treatment, knowing how to help with the horrific side effects chemo has on the body, both short term and long term. All of this knowledge comes from a great deal of reasearch. Research needs to be funded. So any ammount, big or small, is appreciated so so much. Thank-you!
Love always to you all, from
Ross (The runner)
Deborah (The organsier/Boss/Photographer)
Brandan (The most amazing big brother ever!)
Cobie (Our little fighter and hero) xxx
