Story
Hello my good Friends.... here goes....
For the first time ever I’ve decided to try and raise some money for charity by doing what I love doing!
The reason being is in memory of my Father in Law Ian Whillans who was tragically killed in October, the most devastating news and times in my family’s life.
I decided straight away I have to raise money for a local charity as he was a Borders man and loved his sport!
My chosen charity is Rowan Boland Memorial Trust, which is very much doing so well in the Borders and gives a lot of girls and boys support in there chosen sport.
Through them I got a one in a lifetime opportunity to take part in London Marathon, so exciting as very hard to get into, I’ve tried for years. On top of that I will also do The Lakesman Ironman , then in November I will do my first ever Ultra Marathon, Tweed Valley.
So the big 3!
I know a lot of people will think it’s second nature to me doing all these races etc but believe me it gets harder everyday trying to train and keep so fit.
I will need to train up to 25 hours a week at times but can’t wait for the challenge!
I would be so grateful for every penny I raise for a magical charity in Ian’s memory.
Please Share with all you’re pals!
THANK YOU
