We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Please dig deep and donate now.

Driven by the need to prevent drunk status updates on Facebook, a rather  cliché health drive to start the year, made it official and going for Dryathlete for a second time for me personally - and inviting those most "noisy" on Facebook about regretting status updates when drunk :) You know who you are.  Time to get our local haunts to have more social drink option without the alcohol - mocktails are us for a month.

Just January isn't that much of a challenge is it? So going to be extended with some additional team rules.

  • We are night owls - so our time starts 8am Jan 2nd, you can toast in the New Year with your NewYearsDay Lunch
  • We finish 5pm February 10th
  • No less pub visits or meal visits than normal, that means no ducking out of being social due to not drinking - suck it up
  • Caught drinking? No such thing as the "day pass" that the challenge has - we get a forfeit decided upon by your sober team mates
Support us - a bit of fun - team members invited to do a before and after weight as well, knowing I lost a fair chunk of Christmas Belly.

Extra bonus points if point 1 is ignored and you start early :-D
