Story
Greetings from a fellow Former Jesuit Volunteer, Cohort of 1993-1994, St. Louis! Our class had over 300 young people serving in communities across the country and around the world. If you are like me, you remember that year as being amongst the most transformative of your life. I arrived at JVC prepared to give…but the most lasting legacy of my JVC experience is what I received, including important life lessons and enduring friendships forged over the highs and lows of our year together.
Today I have the privilege of being a current board member of JVC. I have been on the board for seven years now and serve alongside seven other FJV board members. I wanted to take a moment to personally thank those of you from the JVC class of 1993-1994 who have supported the mission of JVC over the years and to ask those of you who maybe haven’t felt as engaged to lean in with us to assure that the young people of the future have the same opportunity you had. Simply put, JVC cannot fulfill its mission without FJV support – we need your help!
I’m happy to report that we have placed 200 volunteers for the upcoming class of 2021-2022 and in a hopeful sign, for the second year in a row we have a waiting list of volunteers. Let's be sure that JVC can provide the opportunity to be a JV to eager students who are ready and willing to serve and to change the world, just like we were!
Let’s show up as the class of 1993-1994 and show the class of 2021 we stand with them! Let’s demonstrate that the Great Class of 1993-94 was, is and continues to be a FORCE FOR GOOD!
