This is Lauren, my friend's daughter and a typical 13-year-old. On July 3rd 2018 Lauren and her family's life changed when she was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. Lauren has already endured extensive treatment to get her into remission - amazingly her latest scans were clear. But neuroblastoma is an aggressive and complex cancer to treat. It has a high likelihood of returning, and if this happens the survival rate is very low. That's why Lauren's family are fundraising with Solving Kids Cancer to give her the best chance of living cancer free. They are appealing for your help to raise £234,000 by September for Lauren to access a vaccine in New York that is showing promise in reducing the chances of relapse.
