Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

I did it! I'm now recovering post-event. It was harder than i could ever have imagined. Both the swim and cycle went better than expected and I felt strong with just a marathon left. But ten miles into the run my left knee and closely followed by my hips started to scream in pain. I slowed down to take stock and decided that I could not risk stopping  even for a wee!

The pain came in cycles but with my family and friends cheering me on I made it in 12 hrs 17 mins. I came 235th out of over 750, with a fantastic 30th in my age group.

I would like to thank all those that have made a donation as they honestly have been a spur when I didn't want to carry on.

I do not know what I will do with myself now. I suppose a new job and baby in the next few weeks will put pay to that.

Thanks again

Col.
