Colin and I both volunteered for North London Samaritans in 1996 and that is where we met. 

After a long absence from Samaritans I returned as a listening volunteer in 2009 and Colin began acting as Treasurer until he became too ill to do it about 2 years ago.

Colin has been struggling to cope with anxiety and depression for the past 4 years and was diagnosed with Bi Polar Disorder last September.  He finally ran out of the energy to keep going and took his own life on 1st February 2017.

I will miss him hugely, he was my best friend and my touchstone.  I am so sad it ended like this but I am taking comfort that he is no longer suffering such terrible mental anguish.
