Hi everybody

I have been growing my beard for over 3 years now and have had facial hair for as long as I can remember in some shape or form. I have decided that I would like to do a fund raiser to raise some money for a great charity. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. It is a charity close to my heart as I have experienced bullying myself. 

It is not always easy fitting in when you want to be yourself, but as you can see from my massive ginger beard I have never cared what people think of me.

But I have decided that I would like to chop my beard right back for a great cause. this is not going to be easy, as any man who has ever tried to grow a large beard can tell you, it takes a lot of effort, products, dedication and care to keep it going.

I am definitely going to miss it, especially when I am thinking as I always stroke the beard. I will be reaching out and only grabbing air. That will take some getting use to, but is a worthwhile sacrifice.

And yes I will have some form of facial hair. I look about 12 years old without something there and my wife might not recognise me.
