coast to coast walk · 5 November 2016

We work hard to support anyone that needs our help and assistance in the Wycombe district. We offer peer support groups throughout the week as well as a number of activities from our centre and local venues. We are also involved directly with the community in the various outreach projects we run.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I am doing Alfred Wainright's famous Coast to Coast Walk, which starts at St Bees on the north-west coast, traverses the Lake District, Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors and finishes at Robin Hood's Bay on the north-east coast. I am undertaking this walk alone in November 2016 and will not be using "sherpas" to ferry my baggage, nor paying for accommodation en route. I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in 2009 and lost my long-term job as an advocate for mental health in-patients. In 2010 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of glaucoma and am now partially sighted.

None of the money donated will go towards my travelling expenses nor equipment. I have a bus pass for local bus routes and will use this to get to St Bees (I might pay for the train home out of my own pocket).
