Blind Sailing is a small charity but with a long line of success, including 5 times Fleet racing World champions and 3 times blind match racing champions. The team have worked hard to grow the Charity, although still small we are still number one in the World for both Fleet and Match Racing. On the11th September 2017, 4 teams made up of 16 sailors and 1 coach will be competing in the Blind Fleet Racing World Championships in Sheboygan, USA.

Each team is made up of two visually impaired, the helm and mainsheet trimmer and two sighted sailors.

Giving visually impaired the opportunity to sail, empowers them, giving an amazing sense of freedom and seeing how they deal so amazingly with their disability also inspires me as one of the sighted sailors.
