Welcome to our third annual Red Balloon Ride! This year we're aiming to raise £5000 - will you join the challenge? Choose your route and distance, and then join us in raising money to help bullied and traumatised children!

Story

I'm raising money for a wonderful charity called Red Balloon which supports children who can't go to school because of bullying, mental health difficulties and/or other trauma in their lives. At Red Balloon, they have a safe place to recover emotionally and rediscover their love for learning. They can make kinder friends and begin to trust again. They can also gain qualifications that will help them get into college or pursue their dream careers! I was really moved by Jack's story. He struggled with severe bullying, PTSD and self-harm and felt unsafe at his secondary school. He was able to find Red Balloon and incredibly he's just finished university with a first-class degree! You can read Jack's story at: www.redballoonlearner.org/stories/ There are some 16,000 children missing from school because of bullying or trauma. That's why I'm taking part in this year's Red Balloon Ride. Together were trying to raise £5000 for children like Jack. I'd love it if you could sponsor me!

About the charity

16,000 children in the UK are so badly bullied that they cannot go to school. The aim of Red Balloon is to aid their recovery by providing them with an 'intensive care' full-time academic and personal and social education programme so that they can return to mainstream school or go on to college.
