Ok so thought it was time to get off my arse and do something good, Weighing in at 16st 7lbs a half marathon in 6 months seems a fair distance off, I felt doing it for McMillan was the way i wanted to go (having previously done the longest day of golf twice) The nurses do some great work in challenging circumstances and i want to do my bit to help.
I thought actually getting fit enough to run 13miles would have a bigger draw for sponsors than doing another 4 rounds of golf in 1 day (Not that this is easy by the way :-) but its still paying a charity for me to do something i enjoy) this will be a totally different challenge for me, The most i have ran before has been a 10k so this is going to be twice that.
The training and healthy eating start tomorrow and im sure you donating will make this so much easier
