Red Nose Day is back on Friday 18 March 2022. And this year it's all about you. Yes, you! Whether you donate to dress up, pay to eat cake or take on a sponsored challenge, you'll be helping people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination.

Story

I am raising money for Comic Relief because of something that made me laugh.

Starting in the week of the Coronavirus Lockdown in March 2020 I had a No.4 shave/haircut. Someone asked me if I thought the apocalypse was coming. I said 'Yes!' with conviction as an eternal pessimist.

Over the pandemic period I let it grow into natural 'Lockdown Locks' no different to anyone else. Then I heard about so many reported stories about 'BBC Bargain Hunt fans SHOCKED by Colin Young's long hair'.... (Really?)

I was then bombarded with people telling me, family, friends and work colleagues EXACTLY what they think of me daring to have long hair.

My hair now self-populates on interweb searches higher than me and is therefore prima facie more interesting.

It all reminded me of when a friend & I were ordered up town by our Headmaster to get a haircut with money from petty cash. (Well it was petty because he didn't like Spikey, Punky hair!)

So, if my hair is REALLY that interesting and anyone does actually care I thought I would have a REAL cut once more, have some fun and raise some money.

Donations are compulsory, but opinions are optional.

I am doing nothing exciting, heroic, dangerous or vaguely important. I am simply HAVING A HAIRCUT for Red Nose Day 2022.

Top Grantham barber Stoo Meadows (BarberZone) & Punk drummer extraordinaire has worked miracles with my now very limited resources.

Due to a large bald patch this will be 'LAST OF MY MOHICANS'.. (probably)

Let's celebrate getting back to some normality after the last two years of madness, tragedies and individual battles by making people smile again. Join me, Share the Story and DONATE.
