The trainers are finally back on and a lot of work is now needed to get the Christmas excess off  and proper training done to make sure I can get round this course. I'll be running with Madeline and she has laid down the gauntlet to beat her best half marathon time of 1Hr 54 Mins...no chance!

The most important thing about running this half marathon on Sunday 15th March is to raise money for the Rainbows Children's Hospice in Loughborough. Rainbows is a wonderful facility. Children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions come to the hospice for specialist respite stays, symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care. Lighthouse UK Ltd have made Rainbows our company charity and we will be endeavouring to support them in practical ways, through our label and sign production, and hard cash which is always needed.

Rainbows are starting a £4Million extension to their building, creating more space to help even more children. I can't expect to make a big dent in this amount but blue notes will be well received, brown will go down better and purple would be wonderful. I hope you will sponsor me. Using this website the 'notes' will be plastic but I will be very grateful all the same. I will email finishing line photos to all kind enough to support me, I might even be smiling like last time in New York!
