Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Ride: Sunday, 22nd June 2014. Starting and finishing in Christchurch Park, Ipswich, I'll be riding 160km (100miles) through Woodbridge, past Sutton Hoo - home to the iconic Saxon mask and the nature reserve of Minsmere (where I'll be just too late to feature on the BBC Spring Watch). Onward past the lost seaside town - Dunwich before turning to head home. The majority of the route is flat but there will be around 1,300m of climbing.
The Rider: Assuming I can make my initial target of £200, I'll get a nice Prostate cancer cycling jersey to wear. As that will make me look professional (especially as you will be sponsoring me), I will commit to completing the look and will shave my legs for the event. At least I'll look pro when I leave the park in the morning.
The money: £500 would be enough for 2 GPs to be trained at one of Prostate Cancer UK's masterclasses, while £1000 is enough to support a weeks worth of research into new treatments. For more details about the Prostate Cancer UK charity and what they do click on their link on the right.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
If you would rather donate directly to me, please do so. I'll be more than happy to collect and pass on any money immediately after I've recovered enough.
Many thanks for your support. If you want to come on and cheer on the day, I'll update this with my start time when I know it.
Colin.
