Story

Here we go again! after an 8-year break due to having a family, cancellations due to Brexit, and a global pandemic, I am once again heading off to do something daft to raise funds for Macmillan! This time we have three challenges - each one tougher than the last.

We start in April, with the Yorkshire three peaks.
This is a 24-mile (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park

The next challenge in June will be the National three peaks.
The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland (1,345m), Scafell Pike in England (978m), and Snowdon in Wales (1,085m)

Challenge 3 in September
I will be trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp which will be a grueling climb up to 5,380m or 17,650ft with about 1/3 of the oxygen at sea level. It will take us 15 days to complete the challenge from Lukla, up to base camp and back to Lukla again. This is going to be my toughest challenge yet but all for a very worthy cause.
