We believe that everyone with a life-limiting illness should be able to live well for as long as possible & have the choice to die at home. We will put you & your family at the heart of our specialist care, day & night, to live the best quality life you can & to make every moment together matter.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am nearer 60 than 50, overweight, unfit and haven't ridden a bike for 40 years! Isn't that cause enough to support me in trying to cycle 350 miles in four days?

If not, how about marking the 30th anniversary of nursing at Rennie Grove Hospice Care? Rennie Grove cares for around 3,000 patients per year, children and adults and their families, living with life-limiting illnesses in W. Herts and Bucks. The NHS provides less than £1mn a year towards the £7mn that the charity requires to operate its services which are given at no cost to patients. The Rennie Grove nurses are the some of the most highly qualified palliative care practitioners in the country and the charity is possibly the only genuine 24x7 responsive palliative care provider in the UK.

TEAM FORGE (Friends of Rennie Grove), comprising corporate supporters of the Charity, is undertaking a 4-day, 350 mile cycle challenge to the Isle of Wight and back to St. Albans and Tring. Graham Poll, ex-international referee and patron of the charity, is captain of the team and apart from donating to me here we are also in need of more cyclists and sponsors - please visit - www.renniegrove.org/corpcycle

Thank you so much for supporting me and I will do my best but no promises! On behalf of the patients and families cared for by Rennie Grove, we wish you well.
