Cardiac Risk in the YoungVerified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845, SC052581
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Rhian was to all of us; family and friends alike, a normal healthy and very happy seventeen year old, looking forward to an exciting future and all that life had to offer her. Returning home from rides on her bike with rosy cheeks, glowing with health.  Little could anyone of us imagine the real truth - Rhian had an unknown heart defect!  This is why I feel so pationately about CRY's work. Twelve young people die of undetected heart defects every week in the UK. Raising awareness and funds for such a worthwhile cause is helping all the time to reduce this risk so that these teenagers and young adults can go on to lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives, and save the families from the heartache of losing a loved one.  For CRY's screening at Uckfield Community College to take place in the near future, more funds need to be raised.  Please can you help by making a donation, no matter how small - 'every little helps'!

Thank you so much.
