Story

We have two teams of runners taking part in the Colour
Obstacle Rush event on Saturday in Wolverhampton!

Team Holly are raising much needed funds for the Holly Project’s wellbeing activities. This can include 1-1 counselling, self-care packs, items for group sessions, walking equipment for 1-1 walk and talk sessions (eg boots and waterproofs) – anything that enhances the work that the Hollys undertake with the people

they support which will boost that individual’s confidence and help them to reach their goals.

We have to fundraise in order to offer these services – counselling for Holly Project customers costs around £20k a year, even with grant funding there is still a significant shortfall which we have to cover ourselves.

Team YM are raising money for YMCA Wellington’s Step Up
fund. Step Up rewards tenants using a points-based system for taking part in YMCA activities and opportunities and for ‘stepping up’
to being a good tenant and neighbour
. Step In is a fund we have to help new tenants step in to independent living. We provide starter packs to make sure they have the basics that they need to look after themselves from day one.  Step Out is our fund tenants can access if they need help with clothing, transport or equipment for work, education, a hobby or a special event – something to make a step out into the community.
