Story

Hi everyone! In August 2023 I am taking on the Kilimanjaro trek challenge in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. Meningitis is the enlargement of the meninges, the membrane that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. It is primarily brought on by bacteria ingested into the body. It can cause the development of a number of conditions and ailments within the body, such as blood-poisoning septicaemia. Without treatment, these diseases can kill in hours. Highly susceptible groups include babies, infants and young adults.

The Meningitis Research Foundation provides numerous research and action projects around the world with the aim to eradicate this disease by 2030.

Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!
