Laps to Lapland Virtual Challenge

Combe Down Primary School PTA Laps to Lapland Virtual Challenge · 13 November 2020
WE'RE (VIRTUALLY) OFF TO LAPLAND
Laps to Lapland is Combe Down Primary School PTA sponsored virtual challenge running until 9th December.
We are having to rethink how we raise money for the school this year and have launched a virtual challenge to travel from Bath all the way to Lapland, which is just under 2115km as the crow flies. That’s just over 5km for every pupil in Combe Down Primary.
Our pupils will be taking part in their family bubbles and it is a great way for everyone to enjoy the fresh air, keep fit and raise money for the school. The distance and mode of travel is entirely up to the children (just nothing with an engine) and will be completed over as few or as many days between now and Dec 9th. The children will also be helping to add km to our total during school time.
Each year group will keep a tally of how far everyone has travelled and we will keep you posted on our progress. Hopefully by the 9th of December we will have reached our destination (who knows we may even make it home again). There will be a prize for the year group and individual that travelled the furthest as well as for the most original costume.
We would love to get the whole school involved in this virtual event so get your walking or running shoes on, jump on your bike, scooter or any other wheels you have and take part in our Laps to Lapland virtual challenge. All donations go directly to the PTA.
Please support your friends and family by donating and helping us reach our goal.
Thanks for your continued support
