Story

In January 2023, Emma Carrington’s world changed forever when her beloved daughter, Lauren, tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack at home. Lauren was just 29 years old and leaves behind a young daughter who was the light of her life. With no warning and no opportunity to intervene, Lauren’s sudden death left her family, friends, and the wider community heartbroken.

Inspired by Lauren’s fun-loving spirit and her love of spending time with those closest to her, Emma began organising community events to celebrate her daughter’s life while raising vital funds for defibrillators across the Wolverhampton area. These events have brought people together in powerful ways, turning remembrance into positive action.

In just 12 months, the fundraising efforts have helped to fund seven community defibrillators.

Emma and her family are now determined to continue this mission by funding even more defibrillators to help protect local communities and potentially save lives in the future. They believe that no family should have to go through the heartbreak they experienced, and that access to life-saving equipment can make all the difference. Any support, whether through donations, fundraising, or simply spreading awareness, would be hugely appreciated as they work to honour Lauren’s memory and keep her legacy alive through this life-saving initiative.
