Story
What does the charity do?
Crisis works with people experiencing homelessness, helping them rebuild their lives and get out of homelessness for good. They provide help with finding a home, learning new skills to get a job, and in general with their health and wellbeing.
No one should be homeless and alone this Christmas!
50 years ago, Crisis volunteers hosted their first 'Open Christmas' with shelter and food for people experiencing homelessness. This year, the charity’s Christmas appeal focuses on:
– providing hotel accommodation from the 23rd of December to the 5th of January for those who need it
– providing hot food, access to advice and guidance, companionship, health, wellbeing, and activities.
Money donations
Every £29.06 donated helps to reserve a place at Crisis at Christmas. This will provide people struggling with homelessness with a warm welcome, nutritious food, a bed for the night if needed, health checks and treatments from doctors, advice on housing and support to help them out of homelessness for good.
