Story
Concentrix Belfast are taking part in the Belfast Marathon Relay on 7th May. Five teams will take on the 26.2 mile route around Belfast. We are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of two staff members who have tragically died of cancer within in the last 6 months.
“Julien was part of Concentrix for over 10 years before he lost his battle to cancer and he devoted himself to his colleagues and the company. He was witty, hard-working, committed and saved many of us on quite a few occasions by going the extra mile. It is now our turn to do a few miles in his memory to help others in their fight.”
"After 18 months Angela ended her battle with cancer. She was courageous, brave and optimistic about her life throughout this journey. A role model for all of us for how we should live our lives in the face of truly difficult and life ending circumstances. A true fighter and an independent woman she persisted with her fight for life and often taught those around her valuable life changing lessons, but she was not alone and had lots of support from her family & friends and from wonderful charities such as Macmillan. When times were really tough their expertise & services were crucial and everyone deserves this quality of care so please support a wonderful organisation like this that help plays such an important role in hard times."
Every day 23 people in Northern Ireland hear the devastating news that they have cancer and 11 people die from the illness. Northern Ireland’s population of people living with cancer will double between 2010 and 2030 to over 110,000.
No one should face cancer alone and with the continued support of people in Northern Ireland, Macmillan can be there for people with cancer, as well as their families, carers and friends.
