Hi All, As you may know, I am off to volunteer overseas in Kenya, Machakos with VSO - a charity which fights against poverty and inequality for the long haul. As a VSO volunteer, I will live and work alongside local professionals, helping improve the quality of life for people who need it most. I am still to find out what field I will be working in - it could be either in health, education, governance, agriculture or livliness. As part of the project I need to raise £800.00 - this money will not fund my trip (VSO is a government funded charity), it will go towards helping fight poverty in the world and will enable more volunteers from the UK and developing countries to become volunteers in the future. For more info on the charity, check out - http://www.vso.org.uk/about In order to raise £800.00 I have decided to walk the Three Peaks of Yorkshire, a 24.5 mile hike which I need to complete in less than 12 hours. The walk consists of climbing Pen - Y - Ghent (2277 feet) Whernside (2415 feet) and and Ingleborough (2372). We will begin and finish in a small village called Horton - In - Ribblesdale. Our date is Saturday 25th April - not long to go now. I will be dragging my sisters along with me too so it will be 3 sisters doing the 3 peaks! It sure will be a challenge for us 3 and I would be very grateful if you could sponsor me a little something - nothing to put ya'll out of pockets but anything will help. Please spread the word and send the below link to whoever you think will donate. Thank You and anything will be appreciated! I will keep ya'll updated :) Lots of Love xx |
