Ahead of my 24th birthday on the 5th of July I am attempting to run a total of 100km in 24 days. I am aiming to fundraise £240 for Show Racism the Red Card, a UK based anti-racism charity who work to address the route of the problem by producing educational resources to young people and developing activities which encourage people to challenge racism. Like many others I have been moved by the recent #BlackLivesMatter movement and want to play a small part in supporting the cause. With so many great causes and fundraising efforts going on right now I know not everyone reading this can donate but I ask instead that you keep doing your part either by sharing this (or another fundraiser), signing petitions which support the Black Lives Matter movement or even just take some time to learn and reflect on the racism which is still deeply embedded in our society.
