Kilimanjaro by Lemosho Route October 2018 · 24 July 2018

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

Every single day in N Ireland, children with life limiting and terminal illnesses, and their loving families, climb their own mountains, face their own seemingly insurmountable challenges, and face up to incredible adversity.

My name is Conor Bannon. I have just turned 11 years old. I want to help these children.

In October, I will become the youngest person from N Ireland to climb the 19340 feet of Mount Kilimanjaro. I will be the youngest from anywhere in the world to climb it by the Lemosho Route. I am letting my mum come along (well, in fairness, she is paying for it....).

I hope that you can help me to help N Ireland Children's Hospice support these local children living right here in our community, by making a donation, no matter how large or small.

Children's Hospice helps 300 children and their families each year. Here are just a few examples of what your money can pay for or contribute towards.

£35 - one hour of specialist nursing in a child's home.

£50 - one hour of counselling for a child or family member.

£110 - one night where a nurse stays over for the evening to offer a family respite.

£1030 - one full day of specialist care in our Hospice, Horizon House.

ALL money raised will go to N Ireland Children's Hospice. As I said above, my poor mum is paying ALL our costs.

Thank you very much.

Conor
