The Great Racing Welfare Cycle · 17 August 2021 to 21 August 2021 ·
I have signed up to complete the Great Racing Welfare Cycle to raise lots of money and of course give a lead to Thomas Messenger!
Having been a keen cyclist over the last couple of years and frequently going out for long rides with the lads, we were looking at doing a charity long distance cycle this year, so when we heard about the Great Racing Welfare Cycle, we instantly signed up knowing it would be planned executed perfectly. You’d expect nothing less from the Racing Welfare Team, their work and support to the Racing Industry is always second to none.
Over the next few months the training will keep us busy, it is great to have a goal to aim for and we all know how important keeping busy and working towards something is, especially in the current climate.
We have a great team heading up to Carlisle and cycling with us during the ride, all of which will be raising vital funds for a very worthy charity and all of whom will have had first hand support from throughout their careers/lives.
The challenge starts on the 17th August at Carlisle Racecourse and ends 500 miles and 5 days later at Newton Abbot Racecourse on 21st August. The route takes us through some of the toughest climbs in Yorkshire that famously form part of the Tour De France.
I would be so grateful if you could support me in this challenge by giving what you can to this fantastic charity that supports the whole racing community in which we are involved in. We hope to update you throughout our journey North to South, and fingers crossed we get to Newton Abbott, as a group, all in one piece.
