With the 2020 educational calendar vacated by the government of Kenya, the number of orphaned children (mostly girls) have been affected and are at risk of dropping out of school entirely and are also exposed to GBV (gender based violence) including defilement,rape and other societal ills that can lead to Higher incidences of pregnancies,  drop outs and in some severe cases death from unsafe abortions. 

These challenges have necessitated the commencement of Emergency Educational programs at the village level where The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust can mitigate and monitor the continuing education, well being and psycho-social support for these vulnerable children. 

This program will be supported by TMT -Alumni and the TMT-Family Association (These are community service volunteers who are previous beneficiaries of the orphan support program and are currently in their gap year).

Your help will go a long way to ensure that these programs are successful and that these vulnerable girls have a shoulder to lean on and a safe space where they can receive instruction and support through out this long COvid 19 holiday.
