My memories from childhood are filled with certainty. At home, we never lacked food, warmth or funds for schooling. It’s difficult to imagine it any other, however, more than 150 Million children globally are missing out on meals and essential health and nutrition services. Without the basic amount of food required to play, learn and enjoy their youth, children are being held back from the outset rather than reaching their full potential.

A little Gesture 

On behalf of the 1343 children, we thank every donour of this project for the joy you bring to our children. Most of them leave the house without breakfast. The project to give them lunch is a positive for them, with visible and tangible results each day. We are seeing they no longer miss school and arrive earlier. When they arrive, the first thing they do is to go have a look in the kitchen and see if we are cooking.ALG started financing School Feeding Programme at S.Vicente de Paulo School this year. 1343 children have a daily meal in school for £2 per month. School Feeding improves school attendance with the incentive of a free daily meal and increases school results by reducing child hunger during classes.
