Story

This is our ninth bi-annual charity event in aid of CLIMB (Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases) and in memory of Claire Rivett who died on 18 May 1991 with Gauchers (Type 2) Disease.

All our events are based on the following objectives/principles:

* Offer some sort of physical challenge
* Provide opportunity for participation from all ages and fitness levels
* Enable participants to have a bit of fun in the fresh outdoors
* Raise awareness (and funds) for CLIMB

On Friday 20th May 2011, Chris Airey, a member of the Midlife Cyclists crack(-pot) cycling team will attempt to ride unaided 100 miles to the site of the 2011 Challenge which will take place on the Saturday.

On Saturday 21st May 2011, over 30 individuals will then meet up and have promised to complete some or all of the following activities (check with the individual for their personal commitment):

* Llyn Crafnant Hike (2 1/2h)
* Llyn Geirionydd Hike (1 3/4h)
* Gwydyr Forest Marin Mountain Bike Trail (25km)
* Raft Build Challenge at Oaklands Outdoor Centre

With sincere thanks for your support in this event!
